Aces & Faces has quickly become a classic at many online casinos. This version is powered by Playtech and comes equipped with a few extra features and some helpful functions too.
How to Play Aces and Faces
If you've played any poker whatsoever you'll easily be able to pick up aces and faces. Before you begin though you will need to select a suitable bet. This works in a similar way to a real life casino because each bet is represented by a chip, which can be selected from the bottom corner.
The dealer will issue 5 cards and you must choose which one to keep or discard. The pay table is very helpful at this point because it gives a good idea of what you could win. The next stage draws remaining cards to present your final hand. This 5 card combination will be compared to the winning hands shown on the pay table and with a little luck will show a winning combination.
You'll be given the chance to double or halve your prize at the end of each game. This simply involves drawing another card from the deck. If the card is higher in value than the last the prize is doubled, if it is lower the prize is halved. This gamble bonus is optional but does provide a quick way of potentially doubling your prize.

I already reviewed some other Playtech Aces and Faces games, and this one shares a lot in common with the other 4-line and 25-line versions offered at Playtech casinos - infact I would question why they do not build a single application/game which offers all of the various numbers of lines in a single interface, as it would...

The paytable is standard for Aces and Faces/ Bonus Poker, and the cards are easy to read quickly. Its a quality product, though I prefer Microgaming's offerings of Video Poker.

Playtech haven't done a bad job, though they are still lagging way behind in terms of game selection I do really like the 'half double' feature they offer, allowing you to keep some of your win before doubling up, plus the option to bet lower stakes than offered by MG is welcome for me. It's definitely a quality product, though it could be a little quicker sometimes, overall though as far as single hand VP goes this is my favourite from Playtech.
