At first glance an American Roulette wheel appears to be the same as a European one. The numbers alternate red and black, there's a ball and a table. The only real difference is that American Roulette has a 00 and a 0 position on the wheel. Try Rival's American Roulette above, or read on to find out how it works.
How to Play American Roulette
Roulette isn't all that complicated to configure. You'll first need to decide which numbers to play by choosing a betting chip. You then click on the position you'd like to bet on the table and spin the roulette wheel. A win will be gained if your prediction is correct but there are no prizes for an incorrect guess.
The betting selections include any number, any quarter, half, odd, even, black, red or thirds. You can obviously also bet on the 0 or 00 too by placing a chip on either of these markers. A full rundown of returns can be seen within the boards information menu.
During games you can get a closer view if the action by watching the zoomed in portion in the top right corner. You can also change sound options and read more on how the game works by clicking the control panel button.

I thought I'd played pretty much all the common variants of Roulette available online, though looking at this it seems that I somehow must have missed Rivals - in fairness I have not spent a great deal of time at Rival casinos and its about to become zero for a while again now that Tropezia Palace have stopped accepting customers from the UK :( It's good news then that this is a pretty bog standard version anyway - even the presentation isn't quite upto Rivals usual standards, with the spinning display at the top right particularly frustrating me by spinning continuously except to stop instantly to display where the ball landed - its just unnecessarily poor. Add to this the fact its American Roulette with two zeros on the wheel and I cannot think of any reason ANYONE would spend any money playing this online.
