Atlantic City blackjack is a variation of the popular game of casino blackjack and is a game of skill and chance. In this Microgaming game, the player has to build a score of 21 with his cards against the dealer. The player plays against the dealer independently and has an initial hand of two cards. The dealer deals with two cards, one face-up and another face-down; the face-down card is known as the hole card. The dealer is allowed to peek at his hole card if the other card is an Ace or a ten valued card.
There are four standard options that a player is allowed in this game of Atlantic City Blackjack and a player can hit, stand, double-take and split a pair. Sometimes surrender is allowed as well. Atlantic City blackjack is a game that allows a player to double-down and splitting, and although doubling after splitting is possible, the player cannot double after re-splitting. If a player gets an Ace on both his cards, it can then be split; each split Ace can get one new card dealt with it. If a split Ace is dealt with a card of ten, then it is considered 21 and not blackjack. If the build of the cards go beyond 21, it is known as “bust” and the player loses.
