Book of Spells

The world of wizards and witches has always been intriguing, to put it like that. And isn’t this game just perfect to play around Halloween? Tom Horn Gaming comes up with a video slot called Book of Spells, designed to frighten you and reward you at the same time! Let’s see what witches are cooking…

Theme

Set in a gloomy place, the theme of this slot is the magical world with spells, jinxes, potions and witches in its focus. The background is quite impressive with the castle on the right, a lightning and the full moon in the sky and bear trees all around.

The sound effects are just outstanding! The developer never fails to disappoint when it comes to creating an atmosphere for the online games. This time round we have every specimen needed – the whirling of a wind, the hysterical laughter of witches and the cawing of ravens!

As for the symbols, colorful playing card icons can be found, ranging from 10 to A as well as a magic potion, a pointy hat, a cauldron and an enchanting witch that is the highest-paying symbol.

Betting Options and Other Functions

Although this is a complex slot in terms of design, it features only 9 paylines. It consists of 3 rows and 5 reels. Both bets and lines can be manipulated under the reels on the left with plus and minus signs. The lowest bet is 0.02 whereas the highest one is 90.00! Once you have set your wagering, you are ready to click on a large “Spin” button in the right corner.

All of the controls are neatly organized with “Bet Max” and Auto play as options. After every win, the gamble button will appear instead of “Bet Max” and it will offer you the chance to double your win by guessing the right color of the upcoming card!

Features

Even though this game excels when it comes to the design and the ambient, Book of Spells lacks some outstanding bonus games. We are not getting any exclusive bonuses and benefits.

The book of spells has the role of a wild and scatter at the same time. It will replace the other symbols to complete a winning combination. However, if three of them appear on the reels, you will trigger the bonus round.

And the bonus round is…

The players will be awarded with free spins! However, this is not a regular free spin round – remember that you are tackling with spells here. The Magic Book will appear and choose one of the symbols randomly to become the expanding wild! The expanding wild can show up only during the bonus. Initially, you will get 10 free spins, but the feature can be retriggered.

Our Take on Book of Spells

This release seems to have something magical about it indeed! The design is spot-on and the first impression this game leaves is positive. This doesn’t changes even after the hours of playing. The features might be fairly simple, but the expanding wilds really make the free spin round entertaining. And more importantly they increase the potential to score big! And when you do, don’t forget to brag about it. What else do you need in a slot?
