When Realtime Gaming announced they have prepared the sequel to Bubble Bubble, there was much rejoicing in the iGaming community. Not only for the obvious: the return of seductive and curvaceous witch sisters, Winni and Wanda, there was also the factor of anticipation to see whether the part two will live up to the gorgeous graphics and immensely fun gameplay of the original. That it did – and then went a few steps further for sure. The 5x3, 50 payline grid is once again adorned with sublime animations, intricate and well-thought out details, superb features...

Theme

...and of course, there's the sexiness factor. Halloween themes can go one of two ways: a total kiddie fest of mock “monsters” and candy rush or...well, a more adult version of it. Witches in stockings, heels and cleavage have sort of become a staple in Halloween celebrations for anyone who's outgrown trick or treating – and the sisters leading the way in Bubble Bubble 2 are among the most sensuous and stunning you will meet. Delightful graphics of a comic book nature is prevalent throughout the backdrops of a moon-lit village with all sorts of magical sparks floating about. The symbols on the reels are an utter and complete pleasure to watch: from a comedic moments in a manual called “The Joy of Hex” (an obvious play on words there), from potions adamant on being drunk, black cats, cauldrons, voodoo dolls, owls to Jack O'Lantern. Winnie and Wanda serve as an expanding x3 wild symbol during main gameplay, meaning the reel they land on (1 and 5) will be entirely occupied by their animated full-frontal splendor (they count for all symbols including scatters). There are also the Extra Wild Ghost and Scatter Magic Wand to watch out for.

Coloring is ridiculously well done and the entire game truly looks like a million dollars. The soundtrack is lovingly unobtrusive and sweetly upbeat, mostly consisting in sound effects like evil laughter, bells and howling as well as the kind of music you expect from spooky themes with a funny and reassuring twist.

Betting Options and Functions

Betting options begin at 0.5 per spin and can go all the way up to 250.00. Maximum win per paid spin is 50,000 times bet per line. Wins or different lines are added and scatter wins are added to line wins. Line wins are multiplied by bet per line.

The simplistic user-friendly interface at the bottom consists of Speed button, Auto Play (with adjustable parameters), Betting level meter and a Win indicator. Left and right to the reels respectively, 50 Line Play and Help & Rules hanging wooden signs will open a menu explaining the payline diagram and symbols' values and functions.

Features

Game's special features are revealed when at least three Magic Wand scatter symbols land on screen. The player is prompted to click/choose one to reveal the feature they will be playing.
Greater Ghosts feature: 20 extra spins are triggers during which Extra Wild Ghost (up to nine of them) will be making its appearance on every spin after every scatter win, turning the symbols into new combinations that can yield bigger prizes. This particular feature can be retriggered.

Wilder Witches: Yes, there are wild witches and then there are even wilder witches! 9 extra spins are awarded when one of the two witches appears and expands on one of the reels. They will cast a spell on a random reel which will turn into the very witch that casts a spell which awards a prize. In case both witches appear (lucky you), they will turn the middle reel wild or/and grant you another round of 33 extra spins! During this feature, a Win-Win subfeature will award a bonus in case the overall win from the Wilder Witches is x10 the bet.

Ultra Bewitched: This extra feature awards 7 extra spins during which at least one expanded wild will be present on the reels constantly throughout (Winni – the red haired one – on reel 1 and Wanda, the blonde, on reel 5). Remember, when both of them are present on their reels, prizes are multiplied by 9!

Our Take

Bubble Bubble is perfectly playable on iOS and Android mobile devices of any kind. With all the features that constitute a well-rounded video slot game in line (Wild and Scatter features, extra spins, autoplay, multipliers and so on) it's a game that is not just sitting pretty on its laurels of being an eye-candy for the male auditorium. There is serious substance beneath its raciness and exalted celebration of any words, no matter how much this reviewer tries, simply do not do this game any justice – you just need to give it a test spin yourself.
