Theme

Even though the game is named after a beautiful butterfly, insects are in the center of this game. Ladybugs, ants, spiders, grasshoppers are all featured. Some other icons are used as well such as the butterflies, stars and flowers!

The design of this title couldn’t have been more simplified. The background is blue with the fire burning in the bottom. Meanwhile the reels are clearly divided and the icons are poorly designed. Visually, this slot is way behind some of its competitors with the insect theme. One example is Bugs.

The music is from the classic slots, but it is only heard when you spin the wheels. Other than that, you will not hear anything, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

In this 3x5 video game, it will not be difficult to set your strategy. The first thing to notice is that there are 20 paylines and they are all indicated on the sides of the reels. Setting your bet is the next logical step. The coin value can be adjusted between 0.01 and 0.5 whereas the “Line Bet” ranges from 1 to 15, making the highest possible wagering 300!

Other useful controls include “Autoplay” and “Gamble”. With autoplay, you can let the computer spin the wheels for you, but gamble is where the fun starts! The players have an opportunity to double their winnings quickly by guessing the color of the upcoming card.

Visually, this game is lukewarm at best and from the look of it, you can conclude that the game isn’t blessed in the bonus department too. In fact, Zeus Services didn’t add any additional features or bonuses to this game, making it quite mundane to play.

The only specific symbol which is included is the scatter, represented as the yellow star against the red surface, but it has no special roles. The colorful butterfly in the golden frame is the highest-paying symbol and if five of these land on the reels, you can hope for some good wins!

Butterfly Hot 20 fails to deliver value to the players. It disappoints in most of the segments. Visually, it is difficult to praise the game, except that the icons are colorful. It’s good to see that the developer refused to use some regular playing cards symbols.

With the bonus games completely lacking, it is quite hard to motivate players to tune in and start playing. Luckily, the gamble option opens some opportunities, but you have no guarantees to win big just by guessing the color of the upcoming card. You could always try, though! Probably the best aspect of this game is simple gameplay.
