It is a game based on poker hand rankings and what distinguishes it from regular poker is that players play individually rather than against the dealer. The house edge is roughly 5.224%.

Each player makes an ante wager plus a non-compulsory progressive $1 bet. Each player and the dealer get five cards each and all cards are dealt face down, except for the first dealer card. Players evaluate their respective cards and can choose to 'fold' or 'raise'. If he 'folds', he loses any bet he has made and if he 'raises' he has to make an additional wager exactly double that of the ante. The dealer then turns over his four cards and if he has an ace, king or higher ranked card, he qualifies. If the dealer does not qualify, the player will even his money, else the higher ranked hand wins. Winnings are calculated as per the paytable displayed. The progressive side bet will be calculated on the basis of the poker value of the player's hand.
