You are served with usual winning animations. The music and audio effects create a bit of an imposing feeling of imperial authority, but ultimately fail to impress in any sort of form.
Betting Options and Functions
Standard gameplay here, with the exception that you can buy a bonus. We’ll get more into that below though. Five reels with three symbols each, with all twenty pay-lines connecting from left to right.
The betting level is up to the player, with several choices available between 0.10 and a hundred coins per spin. The volatility is high in this game, as you can tell by just taking a look at the pay-table. The top prize for five symbol combo is 1200 times the line bet.
Features
Two bonus game symbols are enough to land some extra symbols on the reels. The swords gladiator adds two double wilds, the mace gladiator does the same but the wilds are in different format. The trident gladiator, in turn, lands four random wilds on the reels.
If you land three to five free bonus game symbols the bonus game feature begins. You can also activate this by paying a fee of one thousand coins through the buy bonus games option. You can play these in either training or deathmatch mode.
The latter requires you to win at least 450 coins or you get nothing at all! Well, not nothing at all as you can get five training mode spins should you not hit the goal. Of course…
…in the deathmatch mode, your chances of landing bigger prizes are vastly higher at the cost of smaller wins.
Finally, during the bonus games, the beasts and gladiators might decide to battle on the reels for some extra wilds and some extra bonus games. With the deathmatch you also get to choose your own multiplier, further raising the stakes at play!

All in all, this slot might just be the one worthy gladiator-themed game to come out in ages.

I didnt like playing this slot much to be honest. In potential you probably are able to make some nice big wins ... But the fact is that I never even came close (I think) to that position in this game. Hitting the bonus feature is also almost not do-able so I stopped playing (maybe a little bit to) quickly to spend my money...

I've tried this slot a few times and it has potential far enough to try this one again some time. I like how the scatters bring possible big wins even if you don't hit the free spins. Good game for a small bankroll but not really potential for huge megawins. Gladiator theme is pretty impressive though, and the sounds are...

Champions of Rome is a slot provided by yggdradil the theme is Rome but I dont see that the slot theme matches with rome champions compared to Gladiator slot on Playtech for exemple. Nice yggdrasil slot that has somewhat a decent base game and for people that like the ancient rome theme they will be served. The bonus is fun and always pay a little someting at least with symbols that trigger a hammer that is thrown at the reels and reveal wilds that can connect and give huge wins. I suggest trying it...

a nice new slot from Yggdrasil i like these games they have betsizes of 0.10 and with that you can hit some nice wins for me i dont have that much to spin so these slots are good for lowrolling. the bonus buy is very expensive i will not try it but for people ho like to buy bonuses. its a nice add on.

Well pretty OK slot, however were excepting a lot more from Yggdrasil. Wins are pretty poor and the free spins feature isn't that great either.. However been playing it and i like the theme and graphics. And ofc the free spins could pay pretty well,

Pretty decent slot..Bit tricky with the feature though..you want the high variance option, and normally would pick the 5x 4 free spins, but it's damn hard to win even 450 coins (which you need to defeat the boss) It would be an easy choice if it gave you the consolidation 5 Free spins every time, but sometimes it just bins...
