Demi Gods 2

This one is a continuation to the original Demi Gods, with pretty much everything from graphics to gameplay updated considerably. The game offers plenty of animations and excellent graphics from the start screen onwards, with fanfare and talk about great victories drawing you in even further. Though the game is a sequel that isn’t really what is going to draw many players in(as the original wasn’t much of a hit). 

Theme

Why the characters in this slot are called demi-gods is beyond us, as clearly the inspiration is drawn from Greek mythology and gods. That little snippet of information aside, the theme feels pretty solid. Besides the demi-gods themselves, the symbols here are your standard playing card ranks. Music and sound effects are bombastic, which more or less fits the theme. The animations are of high quality and help the game stand out amongst the competition.

Betting Options and Functions

The game has fifty paylines, which is quite a number for a five reel and three symbols per row slot. Betting starts from 0.01 coins per line, with the maximum being ten coins per line. The latter is something that will probably never be used by anyone, outside of play money spins.

The return to player stands at 95%, which is a bit of a disappointment. The game offers a mix of medium wins and high volatility. With the fifty paylines, even a top win of 150 times the line bet can amount to quite a pot. The kicker is that it’s just as hard to land the reel full of those wins as it would be to land one massive win in other slots.

Features

The wild does as wilds do: substituting for any other symbol and paying u to 150 times the line bet when five happen upon a payline. During the base game, there is also a chance of a random wild multiplier appearing, doubling or tripling any win in that round.

The main feature comes in the form of bonus games. These are divided into four, with each unlocking as you progress in the game. Three scatters are needed to unlock each feature. The first one comes with moving reels. Each win during the Hades bonus games will move the reels, removing the rightmost symbols and revealing a new set of symbols on the leftmost reel. This will also reward a free re-spin.

 Aphrodite is the second feature, and she shows up as an expanding and moving wild, going from left to right. 

Ares, the god of war, will show up as an expanding wild, often filling one or more reels. Zeus is in charge of the final special feature. He will bless the reels with four to seven wilds at random.

Our Take

Demi Gods 2 certainly offers more than the first iteration of the slot. The style and execution is spot on. The game looks and feels good on mobile and desktop devices. Though there is a story to tell and special features to unlock, these do not deliver an entirely wholesome experience. Still, with the special features and fifty paylines there is a chance to score some big wins. Try the demo first though or wait for Spinomenal to make a third entry to the saga!
