Real Time Gaming’s Double Jackpot Video Poker is a variation of Jacks or Better draw poker. There are special bonus payouts for special combinations. If the player hits a winning hand, he can choose to play the double or nothing bonus round, which will end only when he wants it to. Payouts on winning hands can be increased by playing more credits per round.
The dealer hands out five cards to the player. After that, the player chooses which cards to keep. The remaining cards are replaced to build the final hand. If the final hand consists of a pair of Jacks or better, the winner is declared. Special four-of-a-kinds give out jackpot-style payouts. The player can also choose to play multi hand. The round of play is exactly like the standard game. The selected cards remain on the hands and the rest of the cards are replaced to form new hands. The opportunities for winning are plentiful and players can win up to a 100 hands at a single time. Retaining two pairs may limit the chances of drawing a three-of-a-kind and four-of-a-kind, which have higher payouts. Of course, if the pair is Jack or higher you could always make a Full House. Keeping unmatched high ranking cards will definitely block the chances of building better hands.

For me, on a lower budget, I stick with the basic version for better payouts on more common hands. Then, as my budget or appetite to play video poker increase, I'll adjust my play to a version like this with higher payout on rarer hands. Game play is smooth as you'll find though. Hate the lack of an option to disable the double or nothing question after every win

I'll be honest - I'm not sure I really understand double jackpot poker. Sure, its much more interesting than boring old jacks or better, but all of the payoffs are considerably worse than those offered in double double bonus, and the only obvious advantage to paying this is the increased (compared with dbl dbl bonus) payoff...

Sure, its much more interesting than boring old jacks or better, but all of the payoffs are considerably worse than those offered in double double bonus, and the only obvious advantage to paying this is the increased (compared with dbl dbl bonus) payoff for 2 pair .. personally I was alright with losing that one in order to receive drastically higher payouts higher up the table. Still, I guess its nice to see that somebody decided that payoff was too much to bear, and created a new paytable that allowed all the added fun of dbl dbl bonus, whilst retaining double your money odds for two pair. It's just a shame that one tiny change makes such an enormous difference to the rest of the paytable!
