RTG seizes upon the dragon-mania generated by Game of Thrones with Dragon Orb. Though the epic game scale is welcome and the opening animated sequence impresses, this game ultimately disappoints, both in terms of visual design and game features. Nevertheless, with stacked wilds and automatic respins to consider, it’s well worth a closer look.
Theme
Dragon Orb is set in Eastern Asia, where dragons are associated less with fire and mayhem and more with good luck and prosperity. Gaming symbols include a golden dragon statue, blooming lotus, temple, lit candles, ceramic urn, incense, and writing paper. There are no bonus or scatter symbols, but the titular orb acts as wild, expanding to fill the entire reel whenever appears. The reels are situated amidst a magical landscape, where ancient trees, will-o-the-wisps, waterfalls, and an enchanted pool create a mystical atmosphere. Despite a charming animated sequence upon startup, though visual design is remarkably unsophisticated compared to other titles by RTG – these grainy graphics would have seemed low-quality 20 years go, and look almost comically amateurish to modern eyes.
Betting Options and Functions
Ten adjustable paylines provide the basis for this slot’s pay structure, while bet per line is adjustable from 0.01–5.00. This yields an overall bet range of 0.01–50.00 times the betting currency. All paylines pay both left to right and right to left, effectively doubling the active number of paylines for any given spin.
Autoplay is available up to 1000 spins at a time, with many options available to automatically stop play for single wins above a given size, the appearance of bonus features, and/or total changes to the bankroll exceeding a set amount. The ‘Help & Rules’ menu at the right side of the reels launches paytable information. In a nice touch by the design team, there are also three possible speeds at which the reels can spin, according to players’ preference.
Features
Though there is no separate bonus feature available in Dragon Orb, the design does provide players with some lovely surprises to keep things interesting. The dragon orb expanding wild appears on the middle three reels. Whenever one or more dragon orb appears, a wild re-spin is automatically awarded, during which time the expanded wild remains in place. This feature may repeat if additional wilds appear on the reels. In practice, when two adjacent reels are fully stacked, all pay lines are guaranteed to hit with at least three of a kind – this is where the game’s largest prizes can be won.
There are also progressive jackpots are also available, offering further opportunities for outsize wins. RTG’s jackpots can be won on any spin, whether or not a winning combination appears on the reels.
Our Take
RTG has been responsible for some excellent titles over the years. Dragon Orb is not one of them. While the expanding wild free spins are thoroughly enjoyable, there’s just not enough positive material in this game to make up for the lack of other bonus features, messy graphics, and rather incoherent theme.

This is a great slot to play if you are on your last few cents. It's minimum bet allows for more opportunity to win. It is one of the 'safe' games I choose to play when I've almost lost but not ready to give up. If you get the dragons in a row you are in for a treat.

Play this game if your balance is on the lower side. This game's minimum bet is only 10c....who knows, you may end up building your balance right back up and then some!

This game has the potential to win big but it rarely does. It has a sticky wilds feature which does not show up very often.

Dragon Orb looks good with all the dragons and shiny orbs. Hit a bonus round once, some middling wins, mostly small stuff. Spins are smooth, not super fast, but fun to watch. Wins feel rewarding when they hit. I’d play casually, don’t expect big jackpots.

I think this game is very good. I enjoyed the look and the returns were very good. This game is worth a few spins to see if you can gain some money .

I'll only consider playing Dragon Orb if my balance is below $5.00 because of the low minimum entry wager amount of $0.13 to get off a spin in this game. In this game, having the orb appear on one of your reels is my best bet at hitting any sort of win that will be able to realistically get me out of the single-digits range and to double-digits with regards to my bank balance. Otherwise, Dragon Orb finds itself WAY down my list on games I seek out to play.

The only thing I like about this game is the fact that it has one of the lowest entry points required to wager in order to play. Other than that, if I'm my balance has gone down after 25 spins, I'm logging out. I have never won anything significant playing this game and I doubt I ever will.

This slot game has cool graphics and a low minimum bet of $0.10 and although it has the potential to win alot it rarely does....but if you get three orbs in a row with a high paying symbol (like dragons) on each side you are sorted!! Good luck.

Dragon Orb is simple-looking with mediocre graphics and a poorly paying progressive jackpot game. The only feature is expanding wild with free respin. Progressive random jackpot takes 1% of your profit from your win. I never hit anything substantial in this slot.

One of the worst games I’ve ever played. Yes it’s a 10 71 slot so it has that going for it but there is no free spins whatsoever or any type of feature around incredibly boring with incredibly low “big wins” there are many other better choices if you’re looking for a 10 cent per spin slot

This game is nice because you wager very small and slow play it but overall this game is hit or miss if you want to cash out. You can win big but also lose so much quickly. When your hot keep playing but be warned once you get cold its bad. You will spin forever without getting a free spin and when you do it still gives...

One of my newest favorites to play! You can play small and hit and also high and hit ,especially if you hit the talons wild . If you get one row it re spins and if you get another row it spins again. If you get all three you can know you will for sure get payed for something :P good!

I like the 10 cent minimum at ten lines. At first I didn't like it too much. As it isn't my favorite slot game, it is my go to game when my balance is running low.

This is one of the slots I play when I've got just change in my account- you can select 1-10 lines so at .01 a piece it's a super low amount but can get you back into the game fairly quickly. No bonus round, just a bonus spin when you get a wild reel

For a low variance slot I find I take some awful streaks of not hitting anything. It lacks any kind of bonus round and not very often you get more then one orb to hit at a time, or when you do get two orbs, they miss.

This game having a $0.10 minimum wager has been doing really well for me lately to keep me from dying with my bank roll there's not really a feature other than 2 dragon Ball show up but you can go two or three of those you fill 3 or 4 reels making a pretty nice payout

I found the only way to win in this game is to play with 9 lines.

RTG made this game to induce players with StarBurst style slot. Actually, their is a few more similar games, all of which are very clumsy and boring. I guess that success factors for 10 line games are like a big line wins or good chance for higher wins, and also dynamic graphics and sounds, but this game doesn't really...

This game is by far one of my favorites to play. I love watching for those wilds to pop up and expand! You can win big if you bet big. I like that it gives you the option of betting a minimum of .10

I like this game because it allows you to bit the min of 10 cents per spin with max lines. The wild feature is really nice you can really get paid out nicely if you hit 2 of them. The only thing I don't like about this game and it seems like all of the RTG games you could on more than usually cold streaks of hitting nothing...
