Theme

The background here is mostly a mixture of colors, somehow still giving the feeling of ancient presence. This is a bit broken by the color scheme, which seems to have been done with a VGA-palette. The symbols, at least, present the theme quite well. Hieroglyphics pictures form the cast of high-paying symbols, while the low-paying are presented with a collection of simple card ranks from jack to ace. Music and sound effects are sorely lacking, with only the whirring of machines and clink-clank of coins being played at random.

Betting Options and Functions

The ten paylines are selectable, and all winning combinations are counted from left to right through the reels. The player gets to decide the bet level via a simple selector, with possibilities from 0.01 to 10 coins per line. Denomination pending the total bet is between 0.01 and a hundred coins per spin. Plenty of variation for a daring bettor.

The card ranks pay the least, from five to a hundred coins per payline. Each symbol ranks this up a bit, with the Ankh paying out a maximum of 200 coins, the scarab 250, the eagle 300, the dog 400, and the eye itself 500 times your line bet. Features

Horus himself works as a wild and can expand to cover an entire reel. The main feature, however, is the free spins. The pyramid symbol works as a scatter, and three instances of it anywhere on the reels starts the free games. You are awarded 12 initially. During the bonus spins, you can land more scatters, which add in more free spins.

Our Take

It’s quite clear that Eye of Horus is a slot that has seen better days. Simply said, there are better slots with the same theme and setup made with modern looks and feel. Though then again, if you don’t require top-notch animation and graphics the only downfall of this slot are the lukewarm sound effects and non-existent music. High variance means that the slot is definitely not for everyone. Decent RTP guarantees that there are wins to be had here.
