Hollywood Reels

Hollywood is a funny old place, full of the rich and famous and wannabes. There are fly by night stars and classics which will never be forgotten. Hollywood Reels focuses on the heavy hitters and true classics with themed gameplay spread over five reels and 9 paylines.

Hollywood Reels Theme

The famous Hollywood Hills sign is used for the slots logo which is surrounded by a rich velvet curtain. There are five reels which are separated by film reels whist the lines are also marked on either side with a similar film design.

There are various famous scenes on the reels including Casablanca, Dracula and Indiana Jones. These regularly kick off animated sequences combined with fitting sound effects whenever they are involved in a winning combination. Other icons include film reels, directors boards, Hollywood walk of fame stars and show reel themed 10, J, Q, K and A graphics.

Betting Options and More Functions

Betting options are configured in a slightly different way to other Chartwell slots. Players can only place up to 5 coins on each line, but their value has a larger range than slots which offer up to ten coins. This creates an ultra competitive betting range which begins at just 1 penny and stretches all the way up to $225.

Hollywood Reels Slot Features

Dracula operates as a paying icon and wild. It can substitute for the Casablanca or Indiana Jones icon to create winning combinations. It isn't available as a wild for any other icon, but five on a single payline will pay a rather impressive 2,500 coins.

The film reel and walk of fame star are both scattered icons which can award prizes when three or more appear on adjacent reels. These icons have the potential to award prizes up to 2,700 coins which is the largest prize available on the entire slot.

Three or more clapper board bonus icons will trigger the film pick feature. This presents a grid of familiar films which you must choose from to reveal winning multipliers. You will find 1x, 2x or 5x multipliers which are added together as the round plays out. The bonus round ends when collect is found, an icon which will award all prizes if it's found with your first pick.

Our Take on Hollywood Reels

Hollywood Reels uses a unique look and feel far removed from other Hollywood Themed slots and it's great to see all time classics being celebrated on the reels. We like that there's three features, although the wild icon is a bit of a non starter as if hardly ever proves its worth. Prizes on the other hand are suited to Hollywood with payouts topping out at an impressive $62,500.
