Theme

Pirate’s Bounty is a 5-reel, 3-row and 15 pay-line slot. The reels are set inside the hull of a pirate ship with interesting characters on the left and the right side making you company while spinning the reels. The design and graphics could have been done much better and include some animation and more detail, but it looks like it wasn’t that important to the developers as they stuck with cartoon-like symbols and minimal excitement when a winning combination is formed. The symbols in the game include a J, Q and K from a deck of cards, a Bomb, Skeleton Pirate, Parrot, Chest, Coins, Flag, Pirate and the Female Pirate that can be a Wild and a 2x Wild. The game also has a Scatter which is represented as a Ship and a Bonus Game which is triggered with 5x the Cannon symbol.

Betting Options, Functions and Features

The game is played on 15 fixed pay-lines and the player only needs to adjust the bet per spin which ranges from $0.01 to $1.00 per line making the largest wager $15.00. The Free Spins feature is awarded when Ship symbols appear anywhere on the reels; three will trigger five spins, four will award ten spins while all five will grant a maximum of twenty spins. To trigger the Bonus feature the player must have all five Cannon symbols on the reels, once this occurs a new screen will appear and you will be given 8 chances to fire the cannon and destroy the cannon located on the enemy’s ship. A random prize will be awarded; how big it will depend on how well you do during the fire battle between the ships.

Our Take

With all the competition in online slot games, the developers must put in the work when graphics, animation and sounds are in question, which is not the case here. A well designed and formatted slot will attract a higher number of players, which I believe will not be the case here. Even so, if you are looking for a game with exciting bonus features, double wilds and free spins this is the slot for you.
