Jacks or Better is a poker game of the simplest sort as the player simply has to gain a winning hand to payout. There’s no dealer to beat, no other players to best but you must at the very least gain a hand with a pair of jacks (or better obviously).
How to play Jacks or Better
Before you can play a coin bet must be selected using the plus and minus arrows in the bottom righthand corner. The least you can wager is 25p per game but higher rollers can wager up to £2. After setting this wager you’ll need to press the deal button to receive your initial 5 cards.
Once you've got 5 cards you'll have to make a decision on which to keep by clicking on them. Next comes the draw part of the game, where any rejected cards are replaced with others from the deck. This leaves you with a total, and final, set of 5 cards that will need to have Jacks or better to payout.
The full rundown of prizes is shown on the pay table. This is topped by the Royal Flush (pays 4000:1 when wagering 5 coins) and many other prizes. The clever thing here is that every prize is split between coin wagers, so you can see all potential payouts.

I thought the cards looked a bit weird myself the suits are all different sizes depending on the index of the card and it all just seems bizzarely proportioned. At least the paytable is all nice and proper 9/6, and it is all nice and sharp. Quick too, but as ever this has to be the most boring way to play video poker, I...

Quick too, but as ever this has to be the most boring way to play video poker, I guess on-line game developers feel they just have to make a Jacks or Better game for some reason./

A very well presented video poker game, and whilst yes it is only plain old Jacks or Better, play speed is very fast and I get a very high quality feel when playing it, in particular I like the cards very much. Sadly there is no double up feature available though, so I would not be willing to play this seriously, but that...

Sadly there is no double up feature available though, so I would not be willing to play this seriously, but that is just my personal preference - I do recommend it if your not into doubling.
