Johnny Jungle is something of an Indiana Jones, in search of a hidden temple. Your mission is to help him by rolling the reels, and as a reward, you get to keep any artefacts and coin wins that pop out during the adventure. Theme

The music is what hits you first. It’s somewhat pompous mix of Native American instruments and classic adventure soundtracks. Some sound effects only come into play when you manage to land a win. The reels are filled mostly with playing card symbols, which does eat away a bit of the immersion. Luckily, there are plenty of themed symbols to balance that out. The background is the very hidden temple which you are searching for hidden treasures.

Betting Options and Functions

Five reels in three rows with 25 paylines running from left to right are not exactly revolutionizing the concept of slots. They do drive their purpose though and keep the game simple to play. Betting is done via bet per line button, with values running from 0.01 to 0.25 coins. Plenty of room for big and small bets alike.

The playing cards pay out the least, dishing out barely useful sums of coins. The prizes go up in value quickly as you hit the themed symbols. The walkie-talkie, a mystical flower, the compass and the binocular pay between 75 and 250 times your line bet with a five symbol combo. The knife, a necessary tool for an adventurer pays out 500 times your line bet. The most valuable symbol of all is Johnny himself, paying out a thousand times your line. The same symbol functions as a wild. The wild also doubles any win it is part of.

Features

Our Take

The free spins and the respin mania are what this slot is made of. The theme is secondary, and although the base wins are nice the true action is in the bonus spins. If you can trigger them you can expect a win big enough to walk away as a winner. The game is a bit dated, but still very much worth playing
