This is a version of video poker which has been popularised by leading casino game software manufacturer, Real Time Gaming. In this version, a joker card behaves like the wild card and can be used to complete any winning combination. The software helps the player by automatically suggesting what denomination /suit the joker must be used to get the maximum payoff. It is played with a 53 card deck-the extra card being the wild card or joker. Joker Poker can be played single handed or multi handed, sometimes up to 100 hands in some casinos. Jackpot sizes also vary depending on the casino; however, most places do not offer a progressive jackpot for this one. Generally, the maximum jackpot is 5000 coins which can be with a hand that contains a wild card or even a Royal Flush.
The game also allows players to set the mood in which they want to play and they can turn the sounds on or off or increase the tempo of the game. The rules are fairly similar to a five-card draw poker, wherein each player is dealt five cards and he uses three to make a winning combination. Winnings are as per paytable and in some casinos players can choose to wager their winnings as well.

All the poker games are my favorite...however...I have won a royal flush a few times at Casino Extreme and Casino Brango on Joker Poker (this includes playing 5 coins at .5, .25, etc. (I personally never won a royal flush with 5 coins playing anything higher than 5 quarters...anywhere online). I have continued to go back and play (even though I won the royal flush) because I keep trying to hit the "Consecutive Royal Flush" which pays 10,000 (normal royal is 4,000). If you play .5 and 5 coins (feel free to go up and down 2 coins, 3 etc., but try and stay with 5 coins) you'll hit a royal flush in a matter of a short time, at least at Extreme and Brango. XOX

I've recently noticed the paytables on several RTG games are not as high as I remembered them, but wonder if perhaps this is due to the casino that 'lent' these games to LCB, or the settings at RTG for demo play or such like - its entirely possible bearing in mind RTG casinos can change the payback of their slots, that...
I've recently noticed the paytables on several RTG games are not as high as I remembered them, but wonder if perhaps this is due to the casino that 'lent' these games to LCB, or the settings at RTG for demo play or such like - its entirely possible bearing in mind RTG casinos can change the payback of their slots, that they can also change this on their VP. I hope thats a fair guess because its a great shame an otherwise nice VP emulation has been butchered with a garbage paytable.
