Lost Treasure from Wazdan is an adventure-themed slot. With all elements set in place and mystery abundant, the game follows an archeologist/explorer in his rather clichéd quest of finding hidden treasures of civilizations long lost.

Theme

Think in terms of Indiana Jones. Lost Treasure is eponymous with the famous adventurer; even the main character’s grin kind of reminds us of Harrison Ford.

As we’ve already learned to assume in relation to Wazdan’s products, the soundtrack is old-school and enriched with recognizable sounds stemming from the glorious days of land-based casinos. The verdict? Loveable but somewhat resemblant of other developer’s games.

Graphics-wise, the reels are set on slabs atop which Aztec coyotes are perched. Nothing too creative, but no one revisits online slots for their CGI anyway.

Betting Options and Other Functions

Lost Treasure is a 5-reel, 10-payline medium variance slot. The betting range is from €0.10 to €100. Only one coin per line can be wagered. The slot has an unknown RTP rate and is playable on desktops, tablets, and mobile phones. The jackpots are multiple, all of them progressive.

Regular symbols comprise the royal suit, a bar icon, blue and red diamonds (separate), and piles of gold coins.

Features

Special symbols are the wild (the archeologist) and the scatter (treasure chest).

The wild substitutes for all symbols except for the scatter, doubling all payouts moreover. It also pays out 0.10, 2.50, 25, and 90 for 2, 3, 4, and 5 symbols lined up, respectively.

The scatter pays out on reels 3, 4, and 5, as follows: 0.20, 0.50, 5, and 50 coins for 2, 3, 4, and 5 symbols lined up, respectively. It also triggers the bonus game (15 free spins) at a 3x multiplier. These can be retriggered (by landing at least one more treasure chest during the game).

Our Take

What is one to say when dealing with a topic so commonplace that all words seem to have already been uttered? Lost Treasure is difficult to review in the sense that it doesn’t offer anything new. Visuals are but average, the soundtrack – nothing we haven’t seen dozens of times, the progressive jackpots – wishful thinking! Still, we like the smoothness of Wazdan’s traditional gameplay, the gamble feature, and the allure of those progressive jackpots. Lost Treasure can be played for fun or for spoils.
