Magic Queens

This is one of those slots with a theme that is built from the name itself. That is to say, the Magic Queens are the special symbols, and do not refer to anything particular in history or mythology. A fantasy game in other words. The setup is similar to most other BF Games, which means five reels with 20 fixed paylines. At first look, the game doesn't show much promise, even if it has a decent RTP and wins.

Theme

The setting is a magical forest of sorts, which is clearly ruled by the three Magic Queens. These offer a sight for sore eyes, but also clearly work as a sort of a metaphor for different seasons, even if one is missing. Most of the symbols are either playing cards or themed to the word magic. The sound effects are a nice surprise, even if the music ends up being slightly annoying in the long play.

Betting Options and Functions

On the right-hand side of the screen, you can find a setting to change the bet levels. These run from 0.01 to 2.5 coins per line, which means that the maximum bet is 50 coins per spin. The twenty paylines stretch out from the leftmost reel and are all fixed in place.

The maximum payout from any five symbol combination is 5000 times your line bet. This is achieved with the black cat symbol, which in this case brings extremely good luck. The orb, the spellbook and the magic potion pay between 500 and 1000 times your line bet. Five scatters likewise pays 2000 times the line bet. These are the big wins. For smaller wins, you are looking at anything between 5 and 200 times your line bet. As usual, wins that come with just three symbols are just about worth your bet.

Features

With every win, you get the change to activate the gamble feature. This is the same feature that you have in most BF Games. Simply choose red or black and if your guess is correct you double the pot. However, if you guess wrong you lose it all. This is quite useful for smaller wins, but with the big wins the 50 - 50 chance is too much to take.

Apart from this, the game is a bit devoid of special features. All you have are the three queens that work as wilds, substituting for all other symbols and occasionally expanding to cover the whole reel. All wins that the wilds are part of also come with a triple multiplier for all wins. Suffice to say, this means that landing that one massive win is the whole goal here. It will require quite a few spins for sure.

Our Take

Magic Queens is a well-done slot but it suffers from lack of feature. Great graphics and sounds are not, in the end, enough to create a game that remains playable. This one is good for a few spins, after which you can make up your mind about the theme and simply find a similar slot with better features.
