Christmas themed games are probably the only ones in the industry that depend on the season. Purely a guess, of course, but I doubt these kinds of games see much players outside the Christmas markets.

Rival has produced a somewhat of a unique design here, which certainly warrants a look even outside the preferred season. Perhaps the style is not fitting for all tastes…

Theme

The style here is quite different from what we are used to. Strangely life-like, and perhaps even slightly disturbing.

Like mentioned, the theme is based on Christmas, with all sorts of popular toys fixed as symbols. The background is made of a wintery landscape with the music and audio effects being exactly what you would expect from a Christmas slot. Sooner or later you will end up muting the game.

Betting Options and Functions

There are 5 reels with 3 symbol positions each. Prizes are awarded when the required number of symbols connect starting from the leftmost reel.

This is universally known as the 243 ways to win system. Betting is done by selecting the number of coins you want to lay on the lines, with a separate selector to decide the coin values.

In effect, this gives plenty of options for small and big bets alike.

There are quite a few symbols here, which invariably drives the slot variance up, 13 altogether without counting the special ones.

Eight of these offer quite small wins, between two and 100 times the line bet depending on how many symbols form up on a line.

The wild only appears on reels one, two and three, and will substitute for all symbols, sans the scatter. The wild also expands to cover the whole reel whenever this results in extra wins.

Our Take

The wild is the most important symbol here and results in most of the payouts. Even more so during the free spins.

Generally speaking, the variance is a bit too high when compared to the prizes. The art style is something that I personally didn’t like, but other people might find it intriguing. Same goes for the music.

All in all, this seems to be quite an ok slot that you need to give. There are other options that might be better for Christmas gaming though.
