Monkey Love is five reel, 20 line video slot from Chartwell Gaming. It uses a bunch of cute characters combined with three exciting features to keep gameplay brisk and exciting. These features include scatters, wilds, free spins, triple tiered bonus games and prizes which stretch to $12,500.
Monkey Love Theme
Bamboo and palm leaves are the key materials used to construct Monkey Loves' reel casing. A cartoon scene depicts a perfect dessert island in the background complete with palm trees (although no banana trees).
The lack of bananas is remedied on the reels as it is included as one of the themed reel icons. Others include a cute monkey, a love struck female monkey, love hearts, bongo drums, presents, a tribal love doctor mask and party themed 10, J, Q, K and A icons.
Betting Options and More Functions
Coin values range from 0.01 to 0.25 which at first glance would suggest a very small betting range. This isn't the case because you are able to place up to ten coins on each line and play up to 20 lines per spin. This creates a 0.01 to £/€/$50 betting range which is more than wide enough to accommodate all but the higher rollers (even they'd be impressed by the $12.5K jackpot).
Monkey Love Slot Features
The islands bongo drum is this slots joker, or wild card. It can substitute for almost every icon with scatters and bonus icons being the only ones excluded. If this wasn't good enough it will also double any win gained using it too.
Two or more scattered tribal masks will award a prize. You'll win 1x, 2x, 15x or 200x when two, three, four or five icons appear respectively.
The final bonus feature plays on a second screen and is unlocked when three or more stacked present bonus icons appear. This challenges you to first choose a box which will contain up to 7 spins. You must then choose from a range of gifts to determine the multiplier which is applied to any free spin prize (max 6x).

It's really quite surprising that Amaya have not made more of an effort to spread their slot games beyond the current handful of casinos that have them available, though I do expect this might change in the near future. Monkey Love is definitely not their best game, but its well produced all the same. The bad thing is the paytable - many Amaya games have enormous maximum hits on the paytable, whilst this one is firmly in lower variance territory. Nevertheless, its a good fun game and worth a look especially if you have a bonus in play.

"Monkey Love" is a typical format slot with 5 reels and 20 paylines. Its colorful design is inspired by a warm, tropical island setting with fruit, palm trees and stuff. The payouts are decent although winning average could be considered somewhat low, in particular I found particularly difficult to complete a 5 of a kind line. The scatter is an instant cash prize and the bonus round awards free spins, of which number and win multiplier is determined by random choices made by the player. It's a fun enough game, though I'm not sure it's very lucrative.
