Theme

Monster Sushi is set along one seaside that is absolutely not suitable for a vacation. The five reels float atop the foul water, with pagoda rooftops and mountains in the background. A soundtrack meant to invoke traditionally Japanese music seems oddly comforting in the midst of such mutated food items.

Gaming symbols include a variety of terribly warped pieces of sushi and sashimi, featuring irritated octopus, salmon, tuna, and angler fish. A brain made of noodles acts as an unsettling wild, while a plantic bag of sliced, sentient sushi acts as the bonus symbol, the gateway to free spins. The playing card values ace through jack act as lower-value symbols.

Though AGames offers uniformly high-quality design, visuals, and original themes, it can be a somewhat uneven developer where RTP is concerned. In this respect, Monster Sushi is their worst offering yet. Players should avoid it as if it were toxic waste.
