Theme
The soft moonlight descends upon the reels and reveals a forest full of magic. For one reason or another, the trees are shedding their leaves, with the reels otherwise devoid of animations. The main theme comes from the magical animals and the elf that seems to be taking care of them. A wild forest indeed.
Betting Options and Functions
You can choose between 20 and 40 paylines, and a bet level that runs from 0.01 to 2.50 coins per line. Paylines run from left to right, and offer wins whenever three to five symbols form a line. The game comes with quite a high variance, but on the other hand with massive wins as well.
The low-paying symbols are the usual cast of playing card ranks from nine to ace. These offer between 8 and 160 times your line bet as payment from getting between 3 and 5 symbols on the same payline. The different magical animals, such as the rabbit, wolf, unicorn, and the owl form the mid-level cast of symbols. These offer much higher wins, starting at 20 times your line bet and topping at 500 times the line bet. The elven princess, or whatever, works as a wild and also offers 1000 times your line bet.
Features
Like most games from this producer, the gamble feature can be activated with any win. You can halve the bet, so as not to lose it all, before guessing the color of the card. There is also a joker card which means that sometimes you win no matter what you guess. As you expect, a wrong guess will take away the whole pot.
The main bonus feature in this game is the free spins. The bonus symbol appears on reels 2,3 and 4, and when there are a total of three the player is awarded six free spins. Landing more symbols during the bonus spins will land you extra spins. During the free spins, the wild symbol shows up much more often on all reels.
Our Take
Due to the high volatility, it is pretty evident that the free spins are where the real cash is to be found at. That’s not to say that you can’t score the screen full of wilds during any normal spin, it just means that you’re not very likely to do so. The game suffers from lack of immersion, even though it is quite well done. You can spin it to land some wins, but most likely it won't keep you in its grip for too long. That’s a good thing though, isn’t it?
