There are good and bad slots done with the Egyptian and then you have this game, developed by Felix Gaming, which is somewhere in the middle. Pharaoh’s temple looked so promising with the design and detail in graphics and the introduction of the expanding wild and the scatter that triggers a bonus game. Theme

This is a standard 5-reel and 3-row game that has 20-paylines. The reels are situated in the middle of Pharaoh’s Temple and held in place by two ancient Egyptian columns. The graphics are done extremely well and a lot of detail put into the screen, like the playing and betting options, are thoroughly blended into the theme. The symbols in the game include a deck of cards done as hieroglyphs, eye of Ra, medallion, Scarab as the Scatter, Princess and Pharaoh himself as the expanding Wild. Traditional middle-eastern music in the background which is not annoying at all.

Betting Options, Functions and Features

The player has quite a few adjustments to make before spinning the reels, the first one is to choose the number of pay-lines from 1 to 20, secondly the number of coins per line ranging from 1 to 10 and finally the value of those coins from $0.01 to $0.05. The max bet in this game is only $10 which may not attract high stake players but will absolutely be affordable to players just starting with slots. The Pharaoh is the expanding wild and it will only expand if a possible win is to be made, it will also replace any symbol except the Scatter. The Scarab can land on any reel and once three appear the bonus game will start. During this feature the screen will change and take you into the funeral chamber with a display of five artifacts to choose from, each one carrying a different multiplier that will be added to the total win prior to triggering this feature. The biggest win in the base game is 3,000 coins and can be won if all five Scatter symbols land on the reel.

Our Take

Pharaoh’s Temple’s graphics got us excited on first view but once we got into details of the games rewards and betting sizes, our first impression was diluted. You will have to play this slot at max bet to enjoy any possible winnings as the base game does not offer large wins even with the bonus round in play.
