Theme

Even among rural-themed slots, this one is a beauty. The background features green, rolling hills rendered lushly by the Eyecon design team.

Gaming symbols include the pig scatter and sheep bonus symbols, the windmill wild (which adds a double win multiplier to all wins in which it’s involved), as well as cows, hound dogs, roosters, ears of corn, sunflowers, and the playing card symbols ace through jack. There is no background music, but sound effects punctuate gameplay.

Betting Options and Functions

As such, the Eyecon design team has kept design as simple as can be here: there are only five buttons! These are sound control, bet and payline adjustment, spin, auto-spin, and information.

There are 25 adjustable paylines, each paying from left to right. Bet-per-payline is set from 0.01–0.50, for an overall per-spin bet range of 0.01–12.50 times the betting currency. Autoplay is available for up to 100 spins. The overall theoretical return to player ratio is slightly below-average at 94.9%.

Features

Prize Pick feature is triggered by three or more sheep symbols on the reels.

For each sheep in the triggering combination, players get to choose one prize, each with a max payout of 100x the total wager.

There is also a free spin feature, triggered by the appearance of three or more pig scatter symbols. 15, 20, or 25 free spins will be awarded. All prizes are doubled during the feature, which can be re-triggered up to 15 times.

There is also a Gamble Bonus feature. Here, players try to predict the correct symbol of two available choices:

A correct guess doubles the win size, while an incorrect guess drops that total down to zero. The feature can be played up to five times in a row, or until the win size would be greater than 32.000 times the betting currency.

Our Take

Piggy Payout makes a strong case for itself thanks to its many features, but thanks to below-average RTP, this slot doesn’t deserve the blue ribbon. Temple of Ausar, with its Egyptian theme, is an overall better offering from this designer.
