Theme

This is a magical slot of five reels, with the middle reel being a four times four reel by itself. A strange forest serves as the background, since that is where pixies live, whereas a mouse pulls the pixie cart on the foreground. The symbols include the standard nine to king card set, as well as all kinds of creatures and plants from the forest. Mushroom houses, snails and ladybugs, the king and his boxes of pixie dust give nice variety and use the theme to their full advantage. Sound and music adds an atmosphere of magic to the reels and the winning combinations.

Betting Options and Functions

The range of bets run up to five hundred coins per spin, so there’s plenty of room here for a wide variety of bettors. The wins run from ten to 250 times your line bet. However, the unusual reel setup quickly increases the prizes into a much higher league.The combinations count from left to right.

Our Take

Pixie Gold is not a perfect hit, but it does show that Lightning Box has a lot to offer. Their unique reel setup will no doubt be exploited by them and other software developers in the future, and rightfully so. Adding a bit more powerful bonus features and fixing the few glitches here and there would easily make this game one of the best out there. As it stand it will still surely find an audience, just be sure to try it with play money first.
