Theme

All right, the slot is not so scary as I led you to believe. If you change the color theme and revert the symbols to their happy counterparts you won’t be feeling the darkness at all. As such, in the end, the different symbols from murderous bears to fanged clowns and blood-red unicorns is endearing more than horrifying. The sounds and music would do a similar flip. Dark Carnival is what you find in the background as well; just waiting for a sunny day I speculate.

Betting Options and Functions

You can choose between five, ten and twenty paylines via a simple dial on the left side of the screen. Similar dial chooses the bet on the right-hand side, from 0.01 to 2.5 coins per line. You can also simply set the total stake at the bottom of the screen.

Five reels in three rows tell a tale of very ordinary setup, so it should come as no surprise that the symbol combinations are counted from left to right. Land from three to five symbols and you get a win ranging between five and one thousand times the line bet. Two bloody girl symbols are the only one to break this convention.

Features

The wilds work as wild, with the exception that only one can land per reel. Scatters on the other hand only appear on reels one, three, and five. Neither appears in the presence of the other.

Three or more scatter symbols will give you twelve free spins, with the additional benefit of stacked symbols. More scatters on the line means twelve extra spins, added to the running total. The free spins also use an alternate set of reels, supposedly a more profitable one.

The special stacking symbol here is the Woman, which can stack on each reel. When it does stack it also works as a wild, not to mention that it’s the highest paying symbol. It is possible, and the goal here, to get fifteen of these on the reels, which would pay out humongous amounts of coins.

There’s also the possibility of gambling wins, which is done via the usual card method. Guess the color and double your pot, or guess wrong and forfeit all wins!

Our Take

Though the theme invokes no real scenes of horror it is still well done, and the overall quality of the slot is great. Ability to choose paylines and the small bet-level gives plenty of chances to spin the reels even with a small bankroll. Won't be everyone’s cup of tea but overall a very entertaining slot with possibilities of big wins.
