Santa’s Surprise is a festive themed three reel classic slot. It uses BetOnSoft software and includes both wilds and multipliers. The design team has also included an additional bonus feature which can be unlocked whilst playing a fourth bonus coin, this is almost as surprising as the $2,500 maximum jackpot.
Santa’s Surprise Theme
The slot uses a red, white and gold color palette akin to Santa’s famous suit. The reels take pride of place at the top of the slot whilst the full height paytable is placed on the righthand side of the screen.
The paytable provides information on the different prizes which can be won when playing one, two or three coins. It also gives a quick overview of each icon which are all festive in design. These include crackers, candy canes, bells, mistletoe, baubles, stockings and presents.
Betting Options and Other Functions
There’s only one payline which can use up to four coins. As these range from 0.01 to $1 overall wagers will cost players at least 0.01 and at most $4 per play. As mentioned earlier the paytable shows one, two or three coin prizes whilst the optional fourth coin could unlock the bonus game.
Santa’s Surprise Slot Features
Santa’s cash filled stocking not only pays the top three prizes when three appear on the payline, but also acts as multiplying wild feature. This means any win which uses a single icon is doubled and any using two is quadrupled in size.
You can only unlock the bonus game when the present icon appears on the third reel when using four coins. This loads a second screen where you pick from a range of different presents which reveals a bonus win.
Our Take on Santa’s Surprise Slots
At first glance it’s hard to imagine why this slot is named Santa’s Surprise, but after playing it for a while we realized it does offer much more than other three reeled video slots. We enjoyed to simple design but the main selling point was the slots wild and bonus rounds, which help set it aside from plainer classic games.
