Triple Edge Studios Slots
Triple Edge Studios did not enter the market as an unknown startup. By the time the studio was officially introduced in 2018 as the first independent exclusive partner under Microgaming’s new studio model, it had already developed several titles released under the Microgaming brand. Games such as Halloween and 108 Heroes Multiplier Fortunes were live before the studio’s name appeared publicly. Playboy Gold, launched in March 2018, marked the first release to carry the Triple Edge Studios name.
What came out over the next few years might tell us more about the studio than any press release. Instead of chasing volume, they stayed focused on a specific kind of games, mainly slots with layered mechanics, mostly aimed at players who like a challenge. There’s no low-variance content churned out to fill a catalog. There is a smaller number of games built to carry their own weight inside the Games Global network, which is now where Triple Edge lives after Games Global acquired the bulk of Microgaming's assets. They're one of around 40 studios inside that network, and one of the more important ones, especially when it comes to progressive jackpots.
The total count sits somewhere between 35 and 46 titles, depending on how you count variants, or what’s in the pipeline, and it keeps growing into 2026. Every game is a video slot. They don’t make table games; there’s no land-based crossover. The titles are all HTML5, mobile-compatible, and all of it runs under Games Global's licensing framework through MGA, Curacao, Sweden, and a handful of other jurisdictions. You'll find Triple Edge slots in well over 1,000 casinos around the world, which is a pretty wide footprint for a studio that pumps games out slowly but consistently.
What Makes Triple Edge Studios Slots Different
The thing that separates Triple Edge from most mid-sized studios is the mechanics. They're not just reskinning a basic 5x3 grid with different themes, like the Microgaming of old used to do a bit too often. A lot of their games use network-wide mechanics that Games Global coordinates across multiple studios, things like Hyper Hold, Epic Strike, Link and Win, and HyperSpins, but Triple Edge has been one of the more active developers of some of those tools. Hyper Hold, which locks special symbols during respins and stacks fixed jackpot wins, shows up in a bunch of their titles and was developed with the studio's involvement.

Then there's the progressive side. Triple Edge is one of the main contributors to Games Global's three flagship jackpot families: Mega Moolah, WOWPOT!, and King Millions. Absolootly Mad: Mega Moolah alone generated a single payout of around 19.4 million euros at one point, which is the kind of number that gets talked about for years. Sisters of Oz WOWPOT!, Cash'n Riches, and the Fire and Roses Joker King Millions titles all sit inside those same progressive networks, which means the jackpots pool across casinos, climb fast, and fall often.
The trade-off on progressive games is worth understanding before you dive in. It’s a bit of a lottery buy. Base-game RTP on those titles runs lower than their non-jackpot slots, since a portion of every bet goes into the jackpot pool. Non-jackpot Triple Edge titles usually sit at around 96 to 96.5% RTP, and that’s solid for the online industry, while better than many land-based games. Book of Oz is roughly 96.5%, Assassin Moon comes in at 96.08%, and most others are in that range. The progressive games are a different deal, and if you're playing them on a bonus, most casinos won't let you count those wagers toward rollover requirements, and most likely will not allow play with bonus funds anyway, so that's worth checking before you get started.
Volatility runs medium to high across most of the catalog. You're not going to plug through a low-variance grind-fest here. If you like games that run dry for a while and then hit something worth remembering, or you're chasing a feature-heavy bonus round, Triple Edge tends to work for that sort ofplayer personality. If you want steady small wins and extended session time at a low bet, there are better places to look.
Triple Edge Studios Slots Worth Playing
Dungeons and Dragons Power Combo
This one came out in early 2025, and it's a good example of what Triple Edge does when they have strong intellectual property (IP) to work with. Five reels, 20 paylines, high volatility, 96% RTP, and a max win of 12,500x your stake. Hit frequency is about 28.88%, so that means you'll land some type of a win roughly once every three or four spins, and that should be enough to keep things interesting without feeling like a freeroll.
The mechanics focus on three separate bonus features tied to three different colored mimic chests that sit beside the reels. Each can trigger on its own or in combination. Mystery Symbols land in stacks as a golden dice, then reveal a single matching symbol across every instance on that spin, which is the kind of thing that can quietly set up big lines.

The symbol set uses D&D monsters as premiums, Beholder, Owlbear, Displacer Beast, and dragons act as wilds, paying up to 10x stake for five of a kind. It plays like a real D&D session in that you can go long stretches where nothing dramatic happens, and then the dungeon opens up. Niche stuff. You might love it or hate it - the tension reels the line tight, or it feels like watching paint dry - it’s a particularly kind of game.
Lara Croft: Fortune of the Eclipse MultiChase
The third Lara Croft game from Triple Edge (fourth or fifth if you count the original Tomb Raider titles Microgaming did before the brand changed), and they've gotten quite a bit more comfortable with the IP on each one. Six reels, five rows, pay-anywhere format, medium volatility at 96% RTP. The game runs on cascading wins, meaning winning symbols clear and new ones drop in, and the MultiChase Rolling Multipliers stack as those cascades build from 2x all the way up to 100x.
The Rising Rewards Free Spins feature keeps a multiplier building across the whole bonus round with no reset, and you can retrigger it. There's also a Feature Buy option if you'd rather skip the base game and get straight to it, and play in a market that allows that. Hit frequency is around 24%, so you’ll pick up something, even if it is a loss disguised as a win (bells and whistles but returning less than stake for the spin), about once in every four spins on average.
Playboy Gold
This was Triple Edge's public debut game, and it still holds up as a technical showcase. Six reels across a 6x10 layout with 100 ways to win, low volatility, 96% RTP, bets from $0.50 up to $500. The main feature hook is Jumbo Blocks, oversized symbol sections that can award credit prizes, multipliers, or trigger a respin where the center reels expand to 4x10. Three bonus wheel symbols anywhere on the grid send you to a wheel spin that pays out at least 20x bet, leads to nine free spins with full Jumbo Blocks landing every spin and wilds on the outer reels, or triggers a pick-and-match bonus where the multiplier keeps climbing up to 10x as you pull cards. It's a lot going on for a low-variance game, and the production holds up. Playboy Gold Jackpots came out about a year later with medium volatility, marginally better RTP, new models, giant 3x4 symbol blocks on the central reels, and a bonus wheel with 4 potential jackpots.
Book of Oz Magic 5 Power Combo
Released in January 2026, this game contributes to the Book of Oz series and is a good look at where Triple Edge is taking things. Medium volatility, 96.06% RTP, and max win of 5,495x (aside from the four bet-size fixed jackpots). The base game is a standard 5x3 with 20 paylines, but the reel set expands during Free Spins up to 5x8. On top of that, it layers in a symbol collection mechanic, fixed jackpots, random wilds, and a multiplier system during spins. The max win is more conservative than D&D Power Combo, but the volatility profile means you'll reach the feature more often, and the expanding reels make each free spins trigger feel different. Worth a look if you like the Book of mechanic but want something with more moving parts.
Fire and Roses Gold Blitz Fortune Tower
If the title seems like a mouthful, wait until you get your hands full of the features when this thing breaks open. High volatility, and the RTP here is 94.2%, which is on the lower end and worth knowing going in. Max win of 5,000x, bets from $0.20 to $50. The grid is a diamond-shaped 3-4-5-4-3 layout that can expand all the way to a 5x5, which unlocks 3,125 ways to win from a starting point of 720 bothway bet paths. Classic casino icons, 7s, cherries, gold coins, rose motifs, all in a red and gold palette. It plays faster and more frenetically than most Triple Edge releases, which is part of the point. Just go in knowing the RTP is lower than their usual range, but also realize that the volatility is all you are likely to feel from a game this hot.
Absolootly Mad: Mega Moolah
This is the one that paid out nearly 20 million euros to a single player. Five reels, five rows, the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot network behind it. The base-game RTP is lower than Triple Edge's non-progressive titles since every bet contributes to the jackpot pool, but that's the deal with network progressives. Four jackpot tiers, including the Mega, can hit at any time on any spin. The bonus wheel triggers randomly from the base game and spins through the jackpot levels. If you're playing for the jackpot, the expected value math across a long enough session can actually look reasonable depending on where the Mega is sitting, but you're not going to grind this one through a bonus rollover. Most casinos block progressive games from contributing to wagering requirements, and this is exactly the kind of title they had in mind when they set that rule.

The Triple Edge Studios Approach
Triple Edge's catalog is built for players who want something to actually engage with. The mechanics are layered enough that repeat sessions on the same slot can really feel different, and the branded titles, especially Lara Croft, are created with enough care that they don't feel like reskins. The progressive network is the biggest draw for a lot of players, and that's fair, those jackpots are real, and they pay out.

The narrower RTP on progressive games is what it is. That's not specific to Triple Edge, it's how network progressives work everywhere, but it's worth laying it out there to look at. If you're a player who's fine giving up a little RTP for the chance at something life-changing, Absolootly Mad and the WOWPOT! titles are as well-built as anything out there.
They don't release games every week, and that's okay. The ones they do release have enough going on that they probably draw new players longer than most.
