I've always wondered what it might be like to end up stranded on a desert island; would all those years of Boy Scout training and Bear Grylls series pay off? Well, thanks to SOS island I can experience it from the comfort of my home (sort of).

SOS Island Theme
A desert island plays host to the slot and appears below the reels. You can see a marooned man on the island and a quintessential message in a bottle floating away from him. A light blue colour surrounds the reels which just goes to show being marooned isn't all bad, at least it's sunny there!
Each of the reel icons relates to items you might scavenge, see or eat whilst on SOS island. These include fish, crab, three different coconuts, seagulls, islands, sharks, planes, life saver ring and a ship (listen out for this one as it has a loud horn).
Betting Options and More Functions
Coin bets range from 0.01 to $1 each and you are able to use multiple coins linked to the number of lines in play (one line equals one coin). As there are 15 possible paylines you can bet anything from 1 penny to $15 per game.
The slot includes an options menu to adjust sound levels and can be operated using your space bar in place of the spin button if you prefer it that way.
SOS Island Slot features
Everything is rather traditional except for the way some of the prizes are paid. Icons appear in either a circle, square or star and are color coded. You can win extra prizes if five shapes, or five identical icons appear in any position which potentially means you can win double prizes because regular payouts occur when three or more icons appear from left to right.
Our Take on SOS Island
We like the theme because it's unique, fresh and fun. The sound effects are good too; we certainly didn't expect the boat to have a foghorn effect! The lack of features may put some people off; if you like traditional slots though this is one game you have to try.
