I don't recall seeing any other video poker game with the option of paying double the credits each hand, in return for the possibility of a random multiplier between 1x and 5x. It sounds like a pretty good deal, although I have to assume the five possibilities are not equally weighted, or it would seem an obvious poor deal...

I don't recall seeing any other video poker game with the option of paying double the credits each hand, in return for the possibility of a random multiplier between 1x and 5x. It sounds like a pretty good deal, although I have to assume the five possibilities are not equally weighted, or it would seem an obvious poor deal for the casino. In my own play, I found that 1x and 4x seemed to be picked MUCH more than the other three choices. I also found that I got a very high percentage of "no hands", although both things could just be a co-incidence. Whatever the case, its an interesting feature, fun to try, and the game variant itself - Super Aces - is excellent, and one of my favourites. Definitely worth a little playtime I reckon then !!

I think I must be going soft, but after checking out a whole bunch of really rather poor video poker games today, stumbling upon this one really kind of cheered me up, and thats despite my saying in the past that I really was not too keen on this particular interface design. So why?! Because its Super Aces !! This is a slightly simpler game than Double Double Bonus, but just as much fun in my opinion, Plus, all combinations of four aces pay the full 400, rather than just those with a low kicker in the aforementioned game. Sure, the interface still bugs me a little, but I can forgive it when the underlying game is as good as this. Recommended.
