Who could forget the highly successful Ted and Ted 2 movies? Well, a lot of people, they were, after all, a few years back and though comedic hits of the time by no means iconic movies determining our cultural direction for years to come. Ted Slot is based on the first movie, and it brings the angry teddy on the screen, this time commenting on your wins and playstyle.
Theme
Movie references, the teddy bear himself, and of course on the background the all too familiar couch from the movie itself feature on the screen. Nice music plays on the background as you spin the wheels one round after another. Unfortunately, Ted itself seems to spend most of the game sleeping and only activating during the bonus rounds to quote lines from the movie. One he does activate you can be sure there’s plenty of action to come.
Betting Options and Functions
The twenty paylines are fixed and run through the normal five reels in three rows. The bet can be selected between 0.20 and 500 coins per spin, which makes the maximum line bet 25 coins. All wins run from left to right, and maximum win is 500 times your line bet, while the minimum is only four times. The symbols are a mix of themes from the movie, with a bong, a girl, a duck and the usual card symbols running from J to A making up the majority of the cast. Ted himself is, of course, the wild.
Features
Ted himself might awake from his slumber, granting one of six bonuses for a single spin. Possible effects include symbols turning into wilds, special symbols that turn into the same symbol for cluster wins, reforming symbols into winning combinations, colossal wins spins with improving wins, and added bonus symbols.
Three or more Thunder Buddies Bonus symbols landing on the screen launches a bonus wheel, awarding the player with one of five possible bonus features. These include a wheel of fortune, a bar crawl, super free spins, Ted’s own free spins, and the Big Money feature. All of these awards different kinds of multipliers, cash wins, extra wilds, and free spins. Plenty of fun to be had, as long as you manage to launch the bonus feature.
Our Take
The whole production seems a bit too tame to be an actual Ted slot. For example, the bong has been replaced with a hookah pipe and beers with what seems like soda bottles. I can’t but speculate what caused these decisions, but they definitely eat up on the value of this game. Apart from the theme, Ted Slot is quite a normal slot with plenty of different bonus features thrown in. It might be a relic from the past but even such it can offer a few laughs and perhaps even some big wins.
