Tens or Better is a video poker game that has been ripped up and repackaged by 1X2 gaming. This new version comes with a user-friendly interface, multiple betting options and can be played right in your internet browser without having to install any extra software.
How to Play Tens or Better
Tens or Better begins with the setting of bets. You must choose a bet or you will not be able to play (the option to deal is greyed out). After setting bets you press deal and 5 cards are dealt face up on the table. At this stage, if you have a winning hand, prizes are paid. If you haven't got a winning hand it'll be time to choose which cards to keep and discard.
The second stage is triggered by clicking the draw button. At this stage the dealer will issue cards to replace any you decided to discard. This will leave 5 cards on the table on which any potential prizes will be paid.
Prizes range from 1 coin for a pair of 10 cards (using single coin bets) up to 4000x for a Royal Flush (assuming 5 coins are in use). You can view all winning hands on the table at the top of the screen.

Apart from the fact that the payouts for a full house and a flush are dropped so dramatically from the normal jacks or better level of 9/6 to 6/5 in this game, and of course the fact that you get ripped off on the royal flush payout if you choose to play less than five coins, its really just not a very interesting game...

When you have a bunch of time to kill in vegas then sure why not waste away a few hours on the hope of hitting a royal at VP, but playing this on-line everyday for fun ?? No thanks!

I can't imagine why anybody would want to play an even lower variance version of jacks or better really, its just beyond my comprehension.
