The two races, humans and orcs, have entered open warfare, and you need to pick your side, and that sets the theme for the slot. Evoplay Entertainment has done a pretty good job with graphics and sound effects, though that is pretty much what the game has in common with the greater Warcraft universe.
Theme
The graphics are quite awesome, with the animations adding another layer of entertainment in the game. Every time a set of symbols shows up either the orc or the human rejoices for their win in the conflict. The music is quite ominous and bombastic, as it should be for a slot with this theme. The symbols themselves are from the series and done to a great standard. Certainly, if you are a friend of the series this is a slot that you should try.
Betting Options and Functions
At the core is quite a normal slot. Five reels, each with three symbol positions, and twenty paylines running through it all. The winning combinations are calculated from left to right with a minimum of three similar symbols resulting in a prize paid out. The bet is a combination of coins and coin value. That is to say, you can bet anything between 0.10 and a hundred or two coins.
Variance is something between medium and high, with the RTP being disappointingly low at around 93%. The symbols are divided in two, between the orcs and humans, with both having high and low paying symbols. The most you can win from a five symbol combination is 400 times the line bet, whereas the minimum from a three symbol combo is ten times the line bet.
Features
There are four different kinds of wilds in the game, which is quite a respectable number. The human wild appears on reel two, the orc one on reel four, though they do not show up in the special features. The portal wild appears on the middle reel, and when it coincides with other kinds of wilds the special feature is activated. During this, the battle wild comes into play.
There are three types of free spins: one for humans, one for orcs, and one just for battles. The first two grant you five free spins with extended and random wilds on the reels. If you manage to land the portal, orc, and human wild at the same time the battle free spins start. Here you enter into a bit of a minigame with hitpoints, having to choose a side, and trying to defeat the enemy. A bit of good fun, but completely random of course.
Our Take
This is a pretty good license slot, with the unfortunate drawback of quite a low RTP. Definitely something you should first check out in demo mode to see if the game is worth putting your money into. For fans of Warcraft universe, a must try.
