Megaways mechanics has become quite popular since the first few games were released, and the reasons for that are clear. Different gameplay, a multitude of features, and the possibility of massive wins bring the level of excitement that few other slots do. To this list, you can add a progressive jackpot.

As usual, Blueprint Gaming has done a spectacular job with graphics and immersions. Tiki Treasures is clearly a modern slot that works wonderfully on all devices. 

Theme

Tiki torches are quite popular, but few know where the inspiration came from and what it was based on. Maori mythology is the source of the theme. These small statues are quite beautiful, and perhaps a tad bit frightening. In any case, the graphics are quite perfect.

There’s a bit of that primal feeling in the music and sound effects, achieved through liberal use of deep drums. The game also comes with several animations. These are enough to make the game interesting.

Betting Options and Functions

The megaways system requires you to simply set your stake for the round, with no need to think about bet per line setups. There are a total of six reels, and each can have between two and six symbols, changing on each spin. There’s also an extra reel on top, covering the four middle reels with symbol positions.

The minimum bet is 0.1 coins per spin, and the maximum is ten. For a progressive jackpot the game offers quite a low level of bets to get into the game. The returns through the basic game are rather small, but again…

….remember that this is a megaways game! Even a 0.1 return to your bet will result in massive wins when counted through one hundred thousand different payways!

Features

Like most other megaways games, this one too comes with cascading symbols. This means that every time you score a win, the partaking symbols disappear and new one drop in place, opening up possibilities for new combinations. The game also offers a mystery symbol that can add matching symbols on the screen.

The bonus games offer four possible settings. Three of these are different variations of multipliers and spins, and the fourth one is a mystery choice.

If you pick the mystery one, you can get any starting multiplier and any number of bonus games. This can mean either lower or higher than normal! Furthermore, during the spins each cascading win will increase the win multiplier by one.

And then there’s the jackpot. Or in fact, three different jackpots. Like most other progressive jackpots, here too the chance to land the feature is randomly calculated into each spin. There are a few steps before you get to claim the main pot.

Our Take

Blueprint Gaming has licensed the Megaways system from Big Time Gaming. The latter came up with the idea, but it can be argued that Blueprint perfected it. There is so far not that much variation between different titles, which is why this title is a welcome addition with plentiful additions to the genre.
