How to play Tropical Stud Poker
The chip stack in the bottom corner isn’t there for show, because you actually select your ante bet from this stack. You can then place your bet to receive 5 cards, which is where you first get to see whether you have a hand of any value. If you consider your hand to be a good one a second bet must be placed.
The final stage shows the dealers hand, which is compared to yours. If yours is better you win a payout based on the strength of it:
Royal Flush pays 100:1
Straight Flush pays 50:1
Four of a Kind pays 20:1
Full House pays 7:1
Flush pays 5:1
Straight pays 4:1
Three of a Kind pays 3:1
Two Pair pays 2:1
Pair of Jacks or better pays 1:1
High Card pays 1:1
An additional ‘Jackpot’ bet can also be placed and is required if you want to play for the jackpot. If you beat the dealer 4 times in a row 20% of the progressive jackpot is paid. The full 100% of this jackpot is paid if you manage to beat the dealer 5 times in a row.
