Theme

Need we really shape it into words? Need the most widely known Mesoamerican civilization that had its own astronomical system and a fully developed writing system even explain itself? We think not! The Two Mayans slot may be an overly ambitious attempt at depicting the Maya civilization, but feature-wise, it quite promising.

If we’d need to use a single word to describe the slot, that word would be “colorful”.

The symbols are beautifully stylized and plastered upon the reels mirroring a Mayan pyramid. The soundtrack is unintrusive, for once. A pleasurable experience overall.

Features

Two Mayans features two special symbols: the wild (the wild logo) and the bonus (the mask).

The wild substitutes for all symbols except for the bonus. It doesn’t offer any payouts on its own.

When landing on reels 1 and 5, the bonus symbol will trigger the special feature. The free spins awarded are provisory – you’ll keep playing for free for as long as there are bonus symbols on reels 1 and 5.

Last but not least, there’s the (non-Mayan) gamble feature. You’ll get to guess the color of the card to be drawn. If successful, your wager will double. If unsuccessful, you’ll lose it.

Our Take

Two Mayans is a classic Novomatic-fashion slot. There’s nothing out of the ordinary here, but neither is anything disappointing. For our part, we liked the game. It is exciting and relaxing at the same time. Give it a spin when you get a chance!
