Theme
This is a historically themed slot, and one of the best one we have ever seen. Valletta has seen many sieges in its lifetime, and that is what is portrayed on the reels. The music and sound effects are pompous and military-like, and rightfully so. There are plenty of animations that keep the game interesting.
Betting Options and Functions
There are up to 15 625 ways to win, though this changes from spin to spin. There is a total of six reels, and each can have between two and five symbols. The number of symbols is random for each spin.
Though the screen is full of information the interface makes everything clear. Checking the options is as easy to adjusting the bet or spinning the reels.
The stakes are not high, as you can play for as little as 0.10 coins per spin, whereas the maximum is ten coins a spin. As you can imagine, with so many ways to calculate wins (thousands being the minimum) the basic wins are quite low. The minimum win is 0.10 times your bet, whereas the maximum is 25 times the bet. Features
The wild shows up on all reels except the first one but offers no extra functionality. The scatter activates the bonus games. During these bonus games, any win will grant you a Valletta Streak. All the winning symbols are held in place while the rest of the symbols are spun again, and this will continue as long as new symbols add to the existing winning combinations.
The bonus games can also be activated through the buy a feature button. This will cost you 100 times your total bet and will result in the next spin having a minimum of three scatters. Whether or not this is worth the cost is debatable.
Our Take
The theme is not likely to disappoint anyone, as it is done to as close to perfection as is possible. The megaways system might come with small base wins but that is more than compensated by the plentiful amount of paylines that are active on any given spin. Give this game a go!
