Regardless, what we have here is a Booongo take on Viking plundering and raiding, and as you can expect there’s more than enough to go around, or at least to amass into one magnificent pile of wins.

Theme and Symbols

The theme is very cartoon-like, with graphics that stand out, especially thanks to the style. Even the playing card ranks have gained a bit of a facelift. The sound effects aren’t as good, but they still manage to add to the atmosphere.

The background also offers some animations, balancing the reels with tranquility as opposed to the slight war-likeness of the Vikings themselves. On the reels the animations are restricted to some after-effects for wins and the like.

Betting Options and Functions

It’s a total of 50 paylines here, which surely would crowd the normal setup. This is why the reels have been extended a bit, with each of the five reels having four symbols positions.

Variance seems to have been set quite high, which fits the theme. Fighting over treasures is a hard business after all.

It’s the wins you’re really interested at, isn’t it? Well, they are in line with the variance, topping at 500 times the line bet. Given the number of paylines and as such also the bet, that isn’t necessarily all that much...so do the special features fix this?

Features

There is actually just one special feature here: bonus spins. The scatter, which shows up on reels one, three and five, will offer the player ten bonus spins. This can be repeated during the feature with the same result…

...and that’s it. A bit slim picking for a game that could really have used more bonuses to keep things interesting.

Our Take

We have to say that Booongo has come up with a very interesting theme, with graphics and look that is quite unique. However, their decisions with the way the paylines are setup, how it correlates with the paytable and the lack of bonus features leaves just one conclusion...there are better Viking-themed slots out there, with a similar value through an excellent theme and way better wins.

It’s not bad, and certainly you can score massive wins when you hit the main wins throughout all fifty paylines. But it’s just not enough, especially as those same 50 paylines require quite a hefty bet on each spins. Better luck next time Booongo!
