Viva Venezia, AKA Long Live Venice, is a five reel video slot which pays homage to all things Venice. It uses Chartwell software which powers up to 20 paylines full of icons. Features are also numerous and include wilds, scatters, free spins and a three tiered bonus round.

Viva Venezia Theme

Viva Venezia is designed to put you in the heart of Venice which is why the slot is designed to look like a gondola. The reels sit in a central position with an art deco bridge above and purple buttons beneath.

A lady wearing a masquerade mask sets the scene of mysteries to come whilst other reel icons are quintessential. These include a sunset scene, street lamps, gondolas, bells, gondoliers hats and a mixture of traditional letters and numbers.

Venice is known for its busy canals which are full of gondoliers who entertain their passengers by singing or by playing an instrument. Thankfully there isn’t any singing but an acoustic melody does play in the background. This changes know and then to reflect the action taking part on the reels. Our favorite tune plays during bonus spins because it’s jolly and heightens the fact that the spins which are playing aren’t costing you a penny!

The ornately styled wild icon can appear in any position and is capable of substituting for nearly any icon (bonus and scatter excluded). A unique 2x multiplier is applied to standard paytable prizes when wins are created using the wild.

The rose tinted street lamps of Venice are one of its most recognizable features. We were pleased to see them on the reels, especially as they award wins when 2, 3, 4 or 5 of them appear in any position. The respective combination of scatters pays 1x, 2x, 15x or 200x your stake.

Three or more bonus icons will award the bonus round. This loads a screen with six boxes on the left and a painting on the right. You choose one of the boxes to reveal a number of free spins (minimum of 4 and maximum of 7) before a light reveals a hidden button behind the painting which awards a bonus multiplier of up to 6 times.

Our Take on Viva Venezia

It wouldn't have been our first choice for a slot theme but Chartwell have done a stellar job. Anyone who has visited Venice will appreciate the references, whilst other players might appreciate both the design and features which the slot includes.
