Ellen DeGeneres will be coming to yet another slot near you, via International Game Technology’s (IGT) DoubleDown app. The comedian and TV host will be the focus of the brand’s latest release, The Ellen DeGeneres Have a Little Fun Today Slots, which will be compatible with both desktop and mobile platforms. It serves as the perfect theme, as everyone is familiar with DeGeneres. Her talk show is currently in its 13th season, and has accumulated 55 Daytime Emmy Awards over the years.
Developed by IGT and Ellen Digital Ventures, the launch of this new title on the social gaming app marks the first time in which a present-day TV talk show host has lent their brand to a social casino platform. The title was initially inspired by a land-based variant of the game. This particular version, however, will be free to play, and loaded with all things related to the famous comedian.
For example, players will be able to look forward to voiceovers, along with video clips and exciting bonus features. According to DoubleDown Interactive’s senior vice president and general manager, Joe Sigrist, “With The Ellen DeGeneres Show Have a Little Fun Today Slots, DoubleDown Casino is giving millions of ‘Ellen’ fans a new way to engage with her anytime, anywhere.”
