New appointments after the departure of finance director
New board changes and appointments could be noted at Media Corp plc after former finance director Nilesh Jagatia left the company.
Namely, two new appointments were announced afterwards by company chairman, Phil Jackson – those of Mark Butt (34), managing director of subsidiary Eyeconomy, who was appointed to the board of the company as an executive director; and finance manager Clive Eplett, who replaces Jagatia as finance director.
According to Jackson, Butt’s appointment to the main board gives the digital advertising business the board level recognition it deserves, while Eplett’s valuable experience as a chartered accountant with Deloitte Haskins & Sells, Coopers & Lybrand, and SFI Group plc will play a crucial role in his performance on the new position.
