Back Greece Harmonizes Tax Rate for Gaming Sectors

Thanks to an agreement reached by the European Commission and the Greek Finance Ministry, the state-owned betting agency OPAP will apply a flat online and slot machine player winnings tax of 10 percent.

The decision will enter into force on January 1, 2013, bringing the country’s tax system closer to fulfilling online operators’ desire to level the tax levied on online and slot machine player winnings.
