After British ISP companies’ strong refusal to help government block unlicensed internet gambling sites, country’s financial institutions will voluntarily take on the job. It appears from this week’s reports that the country's financial institutions have voluntarily agreed to collaborate in disrupting financial transactions between customers and unlicensed operators in the UK market.
The major card companies such as Visa Europe, MasterCard and PayPal came up with their own agreement on blocking financial transactions, after the House of Lords failed to secure approval for government interference, debating the Gambling Licensing and Advertising Bill.
