Back Premier League: Crystal Palace vs Liverpool preview

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has plenty of injury problems ahead of the trip to Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon. Italian striker Mario Balotelli will need to pass a late fitness test before the match as he is struggling with a hamstring injury while Daniel Sturridge will be out until the New Year after his thigh problem recurred.

Liverpool have won just one of their last six games and are currently 11th in the league table, so pressure is building on the manager. Crystal Palace are not doing much better either, they recorded four defeats in their last five games and find themselves just above the relegation zone.

Neil Warnock will be glad to see the return of Miles Jedinak, who missed the defeat to Manchester United through suspension. Yannick Bolasie could also miss out after a long trip from international duty, while James McArthur is a doubt due to a calf problem.

Probable starting line-ups:

Crystal Palace: Speroni - Mariappa, Delaney, Dann, Ward - Puncheon, Ledley, Jedinak, Bolasie - Chamakh, Campbell

Liverpool: Mignolet - Johnson, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno - Gerrard, Can, Henderson - Coutinho, Sterling - Balotelli

My prediction: Liverpool to win 2-1.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Crystal Palace win - 10/3
Draw - 27/10
Liverpool win - 10/11
