Another land based casino launched an online casino in the New Jersey market when Mohegan Sun Casino.com went live on Monday.
The launch is the result of a partnership with Resorts Casino using the NYX i-gaming platform.
Golden Nugget online brands will be transitioning to NYX from Bally Technologies. The switch should be complete by the end of 2015.
Resorts has a partnership with PokerStars as well that is pending the approval of the poker site’s New Jersey license but there is speculation that it could launch during the 3rd quarter of this year.
Mohegan Casino interactive marketing head Lee Terfloth anticipates rapid growth for the new online brand.
Resorts' NYX-powered website went live in February 2015 and has seen success even though it entered the market later.

It is really great to see any progress in online gambling in the US, even if it is only in New Jersey and the only players it will have are New Jersey residents and people that are physically in New Jersey when they go online at those particular casinos. With that said, I wonder how these online casinos can make very much money with the player limitations set by these regulations. I only hope that this is only the beginning of this subject and before long every player in the US, no matter which state they live in, will be able to legally login to any of the online casinos available.
