Taking advantage of the open gambling market in Pennsylvania, sports betting solutions provider, SBTech introduced its omni-channel sportsbook offering involving a cooperation between BetAmerica, a Churchill Downs brand, and Presque Isle Downs & Casino. As the preferred provider in several of the legalized states across America, the company has secured a presence in four states as a result of this on-site and online partnership.
The brand will manage a total of 50 sports betting banks at numerous locations and will soon launch its online platform solution bringing sports betting and online casino games to the state in direct competition with other operations running on Kambi’s sports betting software.
In addition to Churchill Downs, SBTech has contracts with Golden Nugget, Resorts Casino Hotel, Pala, and Oaklawn Resort.

In another recent move that strengthened SBTech’s footprint in the U.S., the first legal sports bet was accepted in Arkansas via services provided by the technology and solutions provider in July 2019. Wayne Smith, the general manager of Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort is credited with the wager, which was a $5 bet on the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL season opener against New York Giants September 8th.
In response to the partnership resulting in the history making sports bet, Richard Carter, CEO, SBTech, commented: “We are rapidly becoming the supplier of choice for omni-channel sportsbook platform software in regulated and newly regulating US states, as well as major global regulated markets for tier one operators and lotteries.
“We’re delighted that Oaklawn selected SBTech to power their sportsbook in partnership with Churchill Downs and launch the state’s first sports wager, and we look forward to extending that to other products and channels in the near future.”
