Bede Gaming has secured GLI-19 and GLI-33 certifications after completing a months-long technical and compliance assessment conducted by eCOGRA. The certifications add to the platform provider’s existing ISO 27001 and WLA-SCS credentials and support its work with operators in regulated gambling markets.
The certifications cover two areas of regulated gaming technology. GLI-19 addresses Interactive Gaming Systems, including player account management, platform security, operational controls, game integrations and the underlying technology used for online gaming. GLI-33 covers Event Wagering Systems and establishes technical requirements for sportsbooks and online betting operations.
Certifications Support Regulated Market Expansion
eCOGRA carried out the independent testing and certification process. The GLI standards form part of an international technical framework used in markets including the UK, Denmark, Malta and British Columbia.
For Bede’s operator partners, the certifications are intended to provide greater certainty when entering regulated jurisdictions where GLI requirements influence technical approval. The company said the certifications can also reduce compliance-related friction during market launches and expansions.
The new credentials carry particular relevance in North America. A large number of US states use the GLI framework for iGaming requirements, while recently opened Canadian provinces such as Alberta have adopted similar technical expectations.
Bede said the assessment involved several teams across the business and took place over several months. The process examined the company’s technology, processes and controls against international technical requirements, supporting its preparation for highly regulated markets.
