Back BetBlocker Adds Chinese and Vietnamese Support

BetBlocker has expanded the language availability of its free gambling blocking and management software by adding simplified Chinese , traditional Chinese and Vietnamese support.

The charity said the new versions were developed through its partnership with the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) and launched during Responsible Gaming Education Month 2026 in the United States. The update aims to improve access for communities that may face language barriers when seeking help with gambling-related harm.

BetBlocker already provides its software in Spanish and Portuguese. The addition of Chinese and Vietnamese language options increases the number of users who can access the anonymous support tool in their preferred language.

New Languages Expand Access For Massachusetts Communities

BetBlocker said the collaboration with the MGC was important because more than 50% of Massachusetts residents speak a language other than English at home. Spanish and Portuguese are among the most common non-English languages in the state, followed by Chinese languages including Cantonese and Mandarin.

The organisation said the MGC supported the introduction of simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese and Vietnamese versions to help more residents access gambling harm prevention resources.

BetBlocker highlighted that providing support in a user’s first language can help people better understand available tools and manage their gambling behaviour. The charity said removing language barriers remains a key part of making its services accessible to more communities.

Pedro Romero, Chief of SG Partnerships at BetBlocker, said: “Language should never be a barrier to accessing support for gambling related harm. We’re delighted to work with the Massachusetts Gaming Commission to launch BetBlocker in Chinese and Vietnamese for Responsible Gaming Education Month, helping us reach more underserved communities across the US, with a completely free and anonymous tool, to help people in their recovery journey.”

Free Gambling Management Software Gains Wider Reach

BetBlocker provides users with an anonymous tool designed to block gambling websites and support people managing their gambling activity. The organisation said the latest language additions reflect its ongoing effort to make the service available to more groups.

The charity said its team continues to focus on developing new language editions because users are more likely to benefit from support when they can fully understand the information provided.

The new releases add to BetBlocker’s existing multilingual offering and allow more non-English speakers to use the software without additional language obstacles.

The partnership with the MGC forms part of wider efforts to provide responsible gambling resources to communities across Massachusetts. The commission’s support helped make the Chinese and Vietnamese editions available at no cost to users.

Responsible Gambling Support Continues Expanding

BetBlocker said the launch demonstrates the importance of creating accessible gambling support services for communities that may otherwise experience difficulties finding suitable resources.

The organisation continues to provide its software anonymously and free of charge, with the latest updates extending availability to additional language groups.

By adding simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese and Vietnamese, BetBlocker has increased the number of users who can access its gambling management tools while strengthening its support network for people seeking assistance with gambling-related concerns.
