Back Croatian State Lottery, Intralot Sign Partnership Deal

Athens-based global gaming operator, Intralot announced Wednesday it has signed a ten-year deal with the Croatian State Lottery, “Hrvatska Lutrija.” Under the terms of the agreement, Intralot has been awarded a ten-year contract for the implementation of its Lotos10 platform on ca. 3,000 terminals of CST’s.

In addition, the lottery will be supplied with the Interactive Gaming Platform, the cross-channel Content Management System, and the Retailer Management System, all of which come with a full batch of the specific software components. The two signatories will apply a Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) share model, hence sharing responsibilities, risks, investment costs, and profits. Just what that implies is best illustrated by the fact that the lottery generated more than €150 million in stakes in 2017 alone.

According to the official announcement, “All of the above will be customised to the specific needs and requirements of Hrvatska Lutrija and the Croatian gaming market, supporting the strategic and operational objectives for the extensive growth and future expansion of Hrvatska Lutrija in the verticals of Numerical & Instant Games, Betting and Online Casino.”

“Convinced of Having Selected a Strong Partner”

HL CEO, Mario Musa, says he is convinced that “we have selected a strong partner who meets all our requirements for adapting to customer needs and legal changes much faster and at lower costs because of its new modular and micro-services-oriented architecture.”

According to Musa, the agreement is the result of “an extensive and long-lasting competitive process”. The new partnership is to “fully cover all business requirements and operational procedures required for our business to grow significantly in the upcoming years,” Musa goes on.

“We are looking forward to a smooth customization and implementation process followed by 10 years of a strong and successful partnership with INTRALOT which will support our vision to strengthen Hrvatska Lutrija as the leading gaming operator in the Croatian market,” the CEO concludes.

“Delighted to Have Been Selected”

Intralot’s Group Chief Commercial Officer, Nikos Nikolakopoulos says his company is “delighted that we have been selected to assist the Lottery to grow significantly their business across gaming verticals and in every channel.”

“We are honored by Hrvatska Lutrija’ trust and (…) are committed to invest (sic) the best technological and operational solutions in terms of innovation, digitalization, security, reliability, products, cost-efficiency and support, coupled with a true partnership approach, which will provide considerable advantages to the stakeholders and customers of Hrvatska Lutrija.”
